Kerry Giersher, our Lead Veterinary Technician, is a Florida native who grew up in Loxahatchee surrounded by a varied assortment of animals such as rabbits, goats, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats and horses. Kerry holds a BS in Biology (Ashland College, Ashland, Wisconsin) and came to Rainforest Clinic as a vet tech in 2012. Kerry brings 20 years of experience breeding and hand feeding a wide variety of parrot species, (including hyacinth macaws and palm cockatoos) to our clinic staff. Kerry previously was the Nursery Manager at ABRC (Avicultural Breeding and Research Center) and Curator at Luv Them Birds. Kerry and her husband, Angel, have a breeding collection of parrots and share their home with two dogs.
